Delft-based MSc ProgrammeThe UNESCO-IHE Delft-based 18-month MSc Programme fees consist of a €17,250 tuition fee(1) and an additional fee of €4,410 to be paid prior to registration. The tuition fee includes the use of a laptop for each MSc student with 24-hour internet access in all rooms in UNESCO-IHE hostels in Delft. The additional fee includes the costs of the field trip, handling fee, insurance, the introductory programme, study material, costs of residence permit etc. Participants are expected to cover their own living expenses, totalling about €18,245 over the 18 months of the programme (about € 970 per month). This amount includes the costs of accommodation and other personal expenses(3). Participants who are accompanied by their families should have additional financial resources. Joint ProgrammesThe costs of the Joint Programmes, Joint Double Degree Programmes and Joint Erasmus Mundus Programmes differ from the costs of the Delft-based MSc Programme. PhD programmeThe programme fees are 45,000 euro Tuition fee and 10,000 euro Study related costs for the 4-year programme. The fees for a Sandwich programme are the same. The tuition fee includes the use of a laptop for every PhD student with 24-hour internet access in all rooms in the UNESCO-IHE hostels in Delft. The study related costs include the costs of external and Sense courses; the printing of the thesis and the costs of the Public Defence.
Other additional costs are the compulsory health insurance of 1920 euro, the residence permit of 650 euro, and handling fee of 1820 euro.
Participants are expected to cover their own living expenses, totalling 57,120 euro for 4 years (1190 per month). This amount includes the costs of accommodation and other personal expenses. While based in their home country as part of a sandwich arrangement, the allowance is 595 euro maximum per month.
Participants who are accompanied by their families should have additional financial resources.
On top of these amounts other items have to be considered: tickets; research costs and equipment; travel costs of the supervisor to the field; book allowances; costs for travel and conferences. Short coursesThe short course fees vary from €750 to €3100. The exam fee for short courses is €250. For more information visit UNESCO-IHE short courses. Cost of living information: One night hotel accommodation, estimation: €90 per night. In case UNESCO-IHE student accommodation is available: €38 per night.
