The Value of Water Research Report Series explores the different aspects of water from a value perspective.

As many controversies are associated with the valuation of this public good, the Series aims to provide new insights and progress in analytical approaches.

The Series adopts a broad perspective and encourages contributions from economic, ecological, anthropological and other perspectives. Novel interdisciplinary approaches are obviously encouraged.

Special attention is given to concepts such as “virtual water” and the “water footprint”.

The Value of Water Series provides an early outlet of research results that are made publicly available.

The Series is published by UNESCO-IHE, in close collaboration with the University of Twente and Delft University of Technology.
