The World Water Week has been the annual focal point for global water issues since 1991. It is hosted and organised by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) and takes place each year in Stockholm. This year UNESCO-IHE participated at the Water Week that was held from 21 to 27 August. This year's theme 'Responding to Global Changes - Water in an Urbanising World' dealt with many topics related to the work the Institute does with regard to education, research and capacity development.
