Multi-Objective Optimization for Urban Drainage Rehabilitation

On Wednesday 21 March at 10.00 hrs, the Public Defence and Awarding Ceremony of Wilmer Barreto will take place. Professor Dr. R.K. Price will be his promoter.

The title of his thesis is: Multi-Objective Optimization for Urban Drainage Rehabilitation.

Mr. Barreto will give a presentation of his thesis at 10.00 in the Auditorium of the Delft University of Technology (Mekelweg 5). The Public Defence and Awarding Ceremony will start at 10.30 sharp.

ABSTRACT

This book presents a framework for decision making in the rehabilitation of urban drainage systems. In addition to an extensive theoretical background, it addresses issues as the use of multicriteria optimization, the use of Genetic Algorithms, parallelization of such algorithms for the use in multi-core or cluster of PCs and their application in developing countries (Brazil, Colombia & Venezuela).
